Saratoga County inmate allegedly got drugs into jail

A Hudson Falls man was indicted Monday on charges of getting drugs into the Saratoga County Jail. Geoffrey M. Pickering, 24, was indicted on a felony charge of first-degree promoting prison contraband, as well as misdemeanor second-degree promoting prison contraband. He was also charged with seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Pickering was originally arrested on the charges while an inmate at the county jail in January. Drugs in the Saratoga County Jail are a joke and should be investigated. They get in in more ways than through inmates.
