— Fidelis Care is adding about 40 new jobs at its regional office in Albany this year.

The Albany office currently employs more than 100. The new jobs will be information technology positions ranging from entry-level to management.

The nonprofit health plan has already added more than 75 IT positions at its operational headquarters in Buffalo this year. Vice President of Human Resources Claudia Shoro says they’re eyeing the Capital Region now because it’s an untapped high-tech hotspot.

“From new college graduates to professionals in the workforce, there are great opportunities to develop and advance,” she said.

Those interested can apply at or show up at Fidelis Care’s IT Professionals Career Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at its regional office at 9 Southwoods Boulevard in Albany.

“Because of changes in health care and increased membership, our IT department is expanding rapidly and taking on a wide variety of projects,” said Chief Information Officer Martin Krebs. “We’re looking for creative, enthusiastic professionals who like to get involved on the ground level. With our IT base in Buffalo, we’re exciting to grow our statewide infrastructure by building up our presence in the Capital Region.”
