Crash into DOT equipment nets DWI charges

— A Clifton Park man is facing drunk driving and other chargers after crashing his vehicle Sunday night into parked Department of Transportation equipment.

Michael J. Baranowski, 38, was charged after town police responded around 8:15 p.m. to the accident on Broad Street at the entrance to the Troy Waterford Bridge.

According to police, Baranowski had a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent.

Baranowski is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and driving in shoulder/limited access highway.

He was issued tickets and released pending an appearance in Waterford Town Court later this week,
