A call for medical assistance this morning led police to an apparent stabbing victim and suspicious fire, police said. A man was detained on suspicion of committing both, police said. The victim, a woman, was found with multiple stab or puncture wounds to her torso. She was taken to Ellis Hospital for treatment. Her condition was not immediately available.
