Schenectady felon admits to Albany burglary

A Schenectady man admitted to breaking into an Albany home occupied by a teenage resident Thursday, Albany County district attorney’s officials said. Shawn Atkinson, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of second-degree burglary, a felony. He admitted to breaking into a Hackett Boulevard home over the noon hour on Nov. 22, entering through a basement window. The teenage resident heard the break-in and called 911.
