Police: Saratoga couple had 100-plus pot plants

— City police cracked up a marijuana growing operation on Liz Ann Drive earlier this month, seizing roughly than 20 pounds of the drug, $20,000 in cash and more than 100 plants in various stages of growth. .

City police investigators along with members of the Capital District Drug Enforcement Task Force raided the home following a month long narcotics investigation. Arrested were Craig Farnsworth, 60, and Marisa Farnsworth, 52, who were both charged with a felony count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor count of growing marijuana without a license.

In addition to seizing marijuana and hash, authorities also grabbed several pieces of equipment used to grow the plants. Both Farnsworths were arraigned and released after posting $1,500 bail.

I feel so much safer now that these obviously dangerous criminals have been brought to justice. Seriously, I'm surprised at how behind the curve New York State is in this area.
