— Empire State College, State Farm Insurance and Easy Method Driving School have opened offices at the newest downtown Schenectady development called 245 Broadway LLC.

The $3 million, three-story building at the corner of Broadway and Hamilton Street houses 7,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 18 one- and two-bedroom luxury apartments on the top two floors.

State Farm has a presence across the Capital Region, including locations in Rotterdam, Niskayuna, Scotia and Glenville.

Empire State College, a SUNY institution known for its offerings of distance degrees, has administrative offices in Saratoga Springs and will relocate its Schenectady office from 328 State St.

Easy Method Driving School has been training safe drivers across the Capital Region for more than 40 years. The family-owned and operated school has a corporate office at 15 Elm St. in Schenectady and a classroom inside Rotterdam Square Mall, next to the movie theater.

About 2,500 square feet of space is still available on the first floor of the new building.
