Dog bites Schenectady teen, owner charged
SCHENECTADY A teenager was badly bitten by a loose dog, police said.
They arrested Amy Conger, 36, of Schenectady, on a violation-level charge of having a dangerous dog.
The boy was walking near 1730 Lenox Road when he was attacked, police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Dearing said. He was bitten on both legs but is expected to fully recover, Dearing said.
The incident happened June 26. Conger was charged the next day, but her first appearance in court was this past week. Dearing said Conger did not appear to have any prior dog-related violations.
