Schenectady man accused of stealing TV

The theft of a television this week has resulted in criminal charges. Matthew J. Hawkins, 25, of Duane Avenue, faces one count each of second-degree burglary, a felony, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor, according to court papers. Hawkins is accused of breaking into a Union Street residence and taking a large Sony projection television Tuesday afternoon.
