Truck strikes Northway abutment, driver treated

State police are investigating what caused the driver of a Price Chopper tractor-trailer to veer into the Route 29 overpass on the Northway early Friday morning, damaging the abutment and closing a lane of the highway for several hours. Troopers said Timothy Dennison, 49, of Galway, was driving north on Interstate 87 when his rig left the east side of the highway and veered into a guide rail.
