State police say three contractors working at the Global Foundries site stole scrap metal from the project. Troopers said James Maio and Colin Bergin, both of Saratoga Springs, and Spiro Angelides, of Schenectady, employees of Coghlin Electrical Contractors, took the scrap metal and sold it, pocketing some of the proceeds. Each was charged with third-degree grand larceny and released on tickets to appear Wednesday in Malta Town Court.
