Storms again pummel region, cause outages
ALBANY Hail, flooding, thunderstorms and power outages hit the Capital Region on Wednesday, a day after severe storms killed four people in central New York.
Flooding forced the closure of some streets in the city of Albany in the evening. Hail the size of a quarter was reported in Albany and Menands, and Doppler radar indicated winds of more than 60 mph in the area.
Trees and wires were reported down in Delmar and Troy.
The National Weather Service in Albany issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady and Schoharie counties.
