Great lets do something!! But many of the same reports that state this as a settled science will also tell you that this has to be a global initiative. The United States doing it on its own will only result in a miniscule effective change. Need you be reminded the largest contributors of what you believe creates climate change are Russia,China and India who basically laugh at your science. Ad to the fact anything that is suggested for change places a devastating burden on an already devastated middle class economy. The cost of EVERYTHING in our lives has the thread of fossil fuels woven through it and until there is something created to take its place any radical change will have the effect of throwing us into a 3rd world status which the vast amount of Americans will not go for, in fact all polls show that as far as climate change goes we don't really care! Oh by the way were you aware that NOAA admitted a couple of analytical errors in reporting coldest and hottest months on record? Were you aware the Antarctic ice is at its largest in history? Were you aware the polar bear population has shown increases steadily over the last several years? Were you aware that the Great Lakes water levels have risen over the last five years contrary to "climatologists" predictions of severe depletion? Wasn't also not that long ago in the 70's that climate "scientists" were predicting a coming ice age? It just seems that the whole matter is anything but settled.
