Better Schenectady middle school attendance not reflected in grades

There were many, many fewer Schenectady seventh- and eighth-graders skipping school this year, but that didn’t produce better grades. After the third quarter, half of the seventh- and eighth-graders in the city were failing at least one class, the same percentage as last year.
