Just four years ago, the Schenectady school district finished a $6.1 million construction project to turn Central Park Middle School into an elementary school. Next month, voters will decide whether to spend millions more to turn it back into a middle school. But they will still be paying off the first loan. Pay attention Niskayuna BOE members and Administration. This is what will happen in Niskayuna if you close Birchwood. Same as Schenectady you do not have an articulated well thought out Long Range Plan. Your numbers don't hold water and you will be back in front of us in a few years asking us to bail the district out !
