Law firm adds Murphy as associate
ALBANY — Timothy J. Murphy has joined the Albany law office of Carter Conboy as an associate attorney.
Murphy will focus his practice in the areas of civil litigation, insurance law, municipal law and labor and employment law in federal and state courts throughout New York.
Murphy obtained his juris doctor degree from Albany Law School in 2013. While in law school, he was the presiding chairman of the student body ethics committee and executive vice president of the student bar association.
Murphy received his bachelor of arts degree in English with a minor in philosophy from Manhattan College in 2010. He also spent a semester abroad studying at the National University of Ireland, Galway, in 2008.
Prior to joining Carter Conboy, Murphy was a judicial intern to Judge Rachel Kretser in Albany City Court. He clerked for the New York State Attorney General’s Office Environmental Protection Bureau and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
In 2010-2011, Murphy volunteered on a number of trips for Operation Helping Hands in New Orleans.
