Schenectady fight injures officers, leads to 3 arrests
SCHENECTADY A large fight Thursday night resulted in three people being taken into custody and several officers suffering injuries, police said.
A police spokesman late Thursday said the extent of the officers’ injuries was still being assessed, though none were life-threatening.
The fight happened at about 8:20 p.m. at Schenectady and Van Voast streets, with multiple officers responding to the scene.
Police were still piecing together what started to the fight and what charges would be filed.
At one point, Schenectady police officers surrounded a house on Schenectady Street after officers called for immediate assistance bringing Niskayuna, Scotia, Glenville, and Rotterdam police officers to assist at the scene.
