Schenectady men arrested in traffic stop for alleged drug posession
QUEENSBURY Three Schenectady men have been arrested after a traffic stop, accused of possessing cocaine and heroin in their car, state police said today.
The men were stopped for speeding on the Northway in the Town of Queensbury in a 2002 Jaguar. Inside the vehicle, state police said they found an ounce of cocaine and 10 bags of heroin. The date and time of the stop were not included in a state police release.
Charged were Anthony D. Grant, Dihnon D. Boyd and William K. Gentry. Their ages were not available, but state police indicated all three have Schenectady addresses. Grant was described as the driver.
All three now face one count each of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
All three were arraigned and ordered held on $50,000 bail.
Trooper Justin Moontz made the arrest with assistance from Trooper Matthew Dean. Warren County Sheriff's deputy Neil Blakley also assisted.
