Car collision sends two to hospital

City of Schenectady firefighter/paramedics tend to the drive of this car after being involved in an accident at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Bedford Road Tuesday. Drivers from both vehicles were taken by ambulance to Ellis Hospital for treatment. According to police officers at the scene, the two door coupe failed to stop at a stop sign and entered the path of the on coming maroon Ford Explorer causing the collision. Tickets have been issued as a result of the accident.

Two people were taken to Ellis Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries this morning after an accident on Eastern Avenue, fire officials said. The accident happened at about 9:30 a.m. at the corner of Eastern Avenue and Bedford Road. The driver of each car was injured and taken to Ellis. It involved a two-door car and an SUV.
