Man charged in rash of thefts from vehicles in Clifton Park

Authorities said an Albany man is responsible for a rash of “smash and grab” thefts from vehicles around Clifton Park over the past month and used the credit cards he stole to make purchases at local retailers. Edward Corbett, 39, of Western Avenue, was charged with six counts of identity theft, three counts of forgery and one count of criminal possession of stolen property.
