10 accused of using fake documents to get licenses

A total of 10 Schenectady residents have been charged in a scam to illegally get valid New York State drivers’ licenses, police said. The 10 are accused of using fraudulent documents indicating that they had previously had valid drivers’ licenses in Puerto Rico. With those documents, they were then able to get valid New York licenses, based on their supposed previous licenses, authorities said.
