Amsterdam woman allegedly embezzled $50,000 from employer

A woman who worked at an Amsterdam beer distributorship has been accused of skimming more than $50,000 from the company over a five-year period, police said. Theresa A. Carter, 51, of Amsterdam, turned herself into state police this morning. She was arraigned and ordered held on $5,000 bail.
