Niskayuna Police Chief John Lubrant is retiring and the deputy chief is expected to replace him, town officials announced Tuesday. Lubrant, 55, is retiring with more than 30 years with the Niskayuna Police Department. He has served as police chief since mid-2009. Tapped to replace him is Deputy Chief Daniel McManus, who has 22 years on the force. McManus was promoted to deputy chief last summer, having previously been a detective sergeant with the department. ...
