— Police are looking for a driver that struck a bicyclist and drove off Monday night.

The bicyclist was struck from behind on Cohoes' Crescent Road just before 10:30 p.m. The bicyclist, identified as 18-year-old James Beaudoin, of Cohoes, was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Beaudoin was hit in the area of Fonda Road by a vehicle described as a dark grey 2002 to 2006 Hyundai Elantra that should be missing the passenger side door mirror.

The vehicle was last seen heading into Cohoes. It is possible the driver did not realize they struck someone as the road was especially dark, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Colonie Police Traffic Unit at 783-2744.
