Finch Pruyn land to include corridor for snowmobilers

At a snowmobile promotional event in the Tug Hill region Dec. 30, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he intends to sign off on a plan to classify the vast majority of recently acquired Finch Pruyn logging land in the Essex Chain of Lakes as motorless wilderness. It does, however, recommend a wild forest corridor to accommodate a proposed new snowmobile trail from Indian Lake north through the heart of wilderness land to Newcomb....
