Holiday Lights in the Park closed for season due to cold

— The 17th Annual Price Chopper Capital Holiday Lights in the Park is officially closed for the season.

After a snow emergency was declared in Albany for today, Thursday was the last opportunity to enjoy the lights and displays in Washington Park. The special walk night scheduled for Saturday has also been cancelled.

The lights opened on Nov. 29 and featured an all new drive through spectacular with more than 125 displays and scenes. Admission prices were $15 per car and all proceeds benefited the juvenile crime prevention programs of the Albany Police Athletic League (PAL).
