Schenectady woman accused of cutting daughter with knife
SCHENECTADY A city woman faces an assault charge for allegedly injuring her adult daughter with a knife during an argument, according to papers filed in court.
Regina Lincoln, 52, of Summit Avenue, is accused of thrusting a kitchen knife at her daughter Saturday. Her daughter then grabbed the knife to defend herself, and the mother pulled the knife back, according to papers filed in court. The daughter suffered cuts to her hand.
Lincoln faces one count of second-degree assault, a felony, as well as misdemeanor making a false written statement and endangering the welfare of a child.
She is accused of lying to police in a written statement about the origin of a broken window, and of cutting her daughter in the presence of a teenager.
