College Hockey: RPI draws with Clarkson, 2-2

— Juniors Jacob Laliberte and Ryan Haggerty each scored to lead the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute men’s hockey team to a 2-2 tie with Clarkson University Saturday night at Houston Field House.

The Engineers are now 13-13-6 overall (7-8-5 ECAC Hockey), while the Golden Knights move to 17-14-3 (10-9-1 ECAC Hockey).

Clarkson’s Kevin Tansey netted the game-tying goal at 12:20 of the third period, moments after a Golden Knights power-play had expired.

POTSDAM — Olivia Howe scored 1:01 into overtime to lift the Golden Knights (16-2-4, 25-4-5) over the Dutchwomen in the season finale at Cheel Arena.

Union (4-18, 9-24-1), which posted its best season at the Division I level, got a power-play goal from Christine Valentine in the third period. Shenae Lundberg made 30 saves.

CANTON — Kayla Raniwsky’s power-play in the second period ended up being the difference in the game, as the Saints defeated the Engineers.

Kailee Heidersbach and Mel Desrochers also scored for St. Lawrence (12-7-3, 13-17-3).

Madison Marzario and Taylor Maloney notched power-play goals for the 6-14-2, 10-20-3 Engineers, who also got 27 saves from Kelly O’Brien.
