Police allege robbery attempt

An alleged robbery attempt using a razor blade has a city man facing a charge, authorities said. Vencent B. Watson, 46, of Catherine Street, is accused of using the razor blade to try to steal money from someone at a State Street apartment the evening of Feb. 12, according to papers filed in court. Watson was arrested that day and charged with first-degree attempted robbery, a felony.
