Man allegedly drove 144 mph during police chase

A driver clocked at more than twice the Thruway speed limit — 144 mph — led police on a chase up the interstate to Colonie on Friday, police said Wednesday. The chase ended at the Exit 24 toll plaza when police were able to force him to stop his vehicle, police said. They charged Pedro D.
