RPI graduate Lange sees action for Austria

SOCHI, Russia — Mathias Lange, a 2009 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, made his Olympic debut Friday when he played the final period for the Austria men’s hockey team in a 6-0 loss to Canada. Lange played the third period and stopped all 15 shots he faced against the Canad­ians, who scored six goals in the first two periods to chase Austria’s starting goalie, Bernhard Starkbaum.
