Three dead, including two kids, in central N.Y. house fire
NEW HARTFORD — Two young children and a woman have perished in a house fire in upstate New York.
Officials told WKTV-TV in Utica that the two boys, ages three and seven, were killed when the roof collapsed, trapping them inside the home on Osborn Street in New Hartford.
Officials say a 21-year-old woman was found dead in the basement. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
Firefighters were dispatched to the fire, which had totally engulfed the home in flames, at about 11 a.m. Saturday. Officials have not said what caused the fire.
