12 inches of snow expected overnight in Capital Region
CAPITAL REGION Up to a foot of snow is forecast fall on the region overnight, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow is expected to develop around midnight and continue through much of Wednesday. It could come down heavy at times. Between 8 and 12 inches is forecast in total, with some locally higher amounts.
Rush hour Wednesday will be a challenge, said National Weather Service Meteorologist Kevin Lipton. Commuters should expect snow covered roads and poor visibility for both the morning and evening drive.
