Dirt biker rescued after getting stuck in Halfmoon quarry

A dirt biker was being treated late Friday for injuries sustained when he became stuck in a Halfmoon mud pit. Chief Mark Smith of Halfmoon-Waterford Fire District 1 said the unidentified biker, who was in his 20s, rode into a wet, muddy area of the Constantine Quarry off Button Road and became stuck in the mud. “We believe he tried to free the bike from the mud and got stuck himself,” he said.
