The state of emergency in effect in Montgomery County since last week's flooding was lifted this morning, according to County Executive Matt Ossenfort.

Although cleanup continues, all roads are passable and things are in much better shape than a few days ago.

The villages of Fonda and Canajoharie remain with a boil water order in effect. Officials from both villages hope the order will be lifted sometime tomorrow but it depends on test results, they said.
