Work to begin on Schenectady County portions of bike-hike trail

Sections of the Mohawk-Hudson Bike-Hike Trail will be closed for construction Wednesday through Sept. 10. Schenectady County Department of Engineering & Public Works crews will be doing drainage and paving work on the trail from Schenectady County Community College to the Route 5S cross in Rotterdam Junction, according to a construction notice from Joseph Ryan, director of public works. Ryan said trail users should expect “intermittent closures” while the work is completed.
