Help requested in finding a missing Gloversville teen

— Gloversville Police are asking for public assistance in locating a city teenager who went missing nearly two weeks ago.

Destiny Persen,15, of 56 Sixth Avenue, has been seen in areas of Gloversville, Amsterdam and Schenectady.

Persen is a Hispanic female, approximately 5 feet 4 inches and weighing 110 pounds, with brown hair.

Persen has a tattoo on her abdomen which reads “Live Life with no Regrets”. She has been reported missing numerous times since November of 2013, police said.

On Tuesday, August 5th, Persen was observed by a family member near Dunkin Donuts on Second Avenue in Gloversville at approximately 7:30pm.

Once Persen noticed her family, she fled the area on foot, running across Route 30A, toward Francis Street. Persen was wearing a black shirt with tan pants with cuts in them and a pair of tennis shoes, police said.

The family member also noticed that Persen had trimmed her hair to about shoulder length.
