Schenectady County inmate accused of injuring guards

An inmate at the Schenectady County Jail injured two jail officers, authorities said.

Jessie Buttram, 31, faces two counts of second-degree assault, felonies.

He is accused of fighting with one officer as he was being placed in his cell Friday evening, according to papers filed in court. That officer suffered a bruise to his right eye. As Buttram continued to fight with officers, a second officer suffered a twisted ankle.
