Two dead in Saratoga County plane crash

Two people died late Saturday afternoon in a single-engine plane crash in northern Saratoga County. Saratoga County sheriff's deputies said a Cessna piloted by Ciprian M. Ivascu, 33, of Newburgh, struck the top of a tree on Brownville Road and crashed shortly after takeoff from Heber Airpark at about 5:40 p.m. Ivascu and a passenger, Jon C. Stomski, 61, of Milton, were pronounced dead at the scene by Saratoga County Coroner Susan Hayes-Masa. The crash ...
