Developer: E. Greenbush casino would be blow to racino

A casino in East Greenbush is expected to negatively affect Saratoga Casino and Raceway in Saratoga Springs, nearly cutting its annual revenue in half and resulting in job cuts, according to a casino application submitted by the racino. The only people who are going to make out in the long run with the casinos are the people who sell the land to the casinos and the people who have jobs building them - which is why I voted against the proposal last Nov. Casino's already in existence will have decreased revenue and jobs will be lost. I don't want a casino in the city/county where I pay property and sales taxes - which will only increase even more in a few years when the thrill of the casinos wear off and revenue decreases, thus resulting in more job losses.
