— The Siena men's basketball team is being honored again by the New York State Senate.

The legislative body will formally recognize the Saints during its Wednesday morning session at the State Capitol building. Head coach Jimmy Patsos and the team will sit in the Senate gallery as a resolution is read highlighting the team's run to the championship of the College Basketball Invitational.

The Saints beat Fresno State to win the title earlier this month.

This marks the fourth time in the past eight years that the State Senate has recognized the Saints. The team was honored after winning the MAAC Championship and advancing to the NCAA tournament in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The Town of Colonie also plans to recognize the team at its monthly board meeting on Thursday.
