Two accused of having guns in Schenectady
SCHENECTADY Two Albany residents were charged with possessing loaded guns late Tuesday on State Street, authorities said.
Kevis A. Vaness, 27, of Watervliet Avenue, and Destiny Carter, 19, of Manning Square, each face one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony.
Vaness is accused of possessing a loaded .22-caliber handgun and Carter a loaded .25-caliber handgun, according to papers.
Carter is also accused of possessing 20 small envelopes of heroin.
She was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
