Schenectady man charged in domestic case
SCHENECTADY Multiple felony charges face a city man accused of forcibly taking his girlfriend’s keys and assaulting her, authorities said.
Renny M. Ali, 32, of Van Cortlandt Street, is accused of forcibly taking the keys Tuesday evening at Van Cortlandt Street and Vermont Avenue. He is also accused of taking a bank card, biting the woman and putting his hands around her neck, obstructing her breathing.
He faces one count each of third-degree robbery, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies, as well as third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing, misdemeanors.
