Man charged with stealing woman's purse in Schenectady

A Schenectady man displayed an imitation handgun and stole a woman’s purse early Friday morning in the Vale neighborhood, authorities said. Cory N. Destouche, 20, of 12 Mynderse St., faces one count each of second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny, felonies. He is accused of stealing the purse just before 1 a.m. near the corner of State Street and Grove Place.
