ALBANY — A new poll shows Gov. Andrew Cuomo's rating among New York voters has slipped for the third straight month, but he still leads his only Republican challenger for office by 30 points.

The Siena College poll released Tuesday shows that Cuomo's lead over Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino is 58 percent to 28 percent, a three point decrease for the Democrat since March.

Astorino announced his candidacy last month, but remains largely unknown, with 66 percent of polled voters either not knowing who he is or having no opinion with seven months left until the election.

The telephone poll of 772 registered voters was conducted April 12 to 17. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
