Schenectady man charged with grand larceny

A city man used a company business card to make more than $1,500 in purchases, authorities said. Sean Messitt, 51, of 13 State St., was charged this week with one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. Messitt is accused of making the purchases at various businesses in Schenectady in November, according to papers filed in court. The papers do not indicate what company the card belonged to or Messitt’s relationship to the company.
