Colonie man allegedly posed as trooper

A Colonie man posed as a state trooper at a traffic stop on Sunday, state police said. The man, police said, wasn’t the target of the traffic stop, but was just passing by. He stopped and identified himself to real troopers as a trooper himself. He also offered assistance, police said. Suspicious, the real troopers began asking questions.
