Lawyer says mother accused of leaving kids in car in Wilton will fight charges

The Greenwich woman charged with leaving her three young children alone in a vehicle outside the Target store in Wilton earlier this week will fight the charge. “It’s being blown out of proportion,” said her attorney, Peter Sipperly of Saratoga Springs. The suspect, Jill A. Collins, 37, of County Route 113, teaches eighth-grade social studies in Mechanicville. Her husband, Kevin Collins, also is a teacher in the Mechanicville City School District. Really? Well you left three kids with the oldest just eight years old in an unlocked car with the keys in the ignition and the car running... I would have my doubts about not only your parenting abilities but your teaching abilities.
