— A Washington County man was sentenced to three years in state prison Wednesday for his role in a bar fight in Mechanicville in which another man was critically injured.

Saratoga County Court Judge Jerry Scarano also sentenced Brandin M. Marble, 23, of Fort Miller Road, Greenwich, to two years’ post-release supervision and ordered him to pay $21,487 in restitution to the victim.

He had pleaded guilty in January to second-degree assault, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office.

In an April 14, 2013, bar brawl, Marble was accused of striking a 24-year-old Mechanicville man in the head with a beer bottle and then repeatedly punching him in the head while he lay on the ground.

In other court action Wednesday, Kevin R. Stone, 46, of Hannum Street, Ballston Spa, was sentenced to one year in jail for felony driving while intoxicated. He was arrested last Dec. 14 in Milton. In addition to jail time, he must have an alcohol-sensing ignition interlock device installed on his vehicle.
