Capital Region counties report lowest NY unemployment

Three Capital Region counties had the lowest unemployment rates in the state in February, according to preliminary state Department of Labor data released today. Albany, Saratoga and Schenectady counties are among the top 10 counties with the lowest unemployment rates. Albany County tied with Putnam County for third place, after Tompkins and Nassau counties, with a 6 percent unemployment rate. Saratoga County was ranked fifth with a 6.2 percent unemployment rate.
